Bhubaneswar, May 21 (Local Wire): The state on Thursday reported rise of 51 new cases of Coronavirus in their latest round of testing of samples, the government said.
According to the latest statistics shared by the State Health and Family Welfare Department it has till now reported a total of 1103 cases of the viral disease while it was able to conduct testing of 108432 samples.
Odisha meanwhile also reported its sixth Coronavirus death as a patient from Ganjam succumbed to the viral disease.
Ganjam till now has reported a total of 317 Coronavirus positive cases, the highest in the state. The district has also reported the maximum of three Coronavirus deaths.
The highest number of cases were reported from Kalahandi and Nayagarh which reported 11 cases each.
A total of 11 districts reported the new 51 cases.
Cuttack also reported nine new cases. The government claims that out of the 51 new cases, 48 were reported from quarantine centres while three are local contacts.
Some other districts which reported fresh Coronavirus cases include-Ganjam (4 cases), Jajpur (5), Jagatsinghpur (2), Angul (2), Puri (1), Sambalpur (2), Malkangiri (1) and Mayurbhanj (3).
