Berhampur, Jan 18 (LocalWire):21 students and three teachers from Odisha have been selected to take part in the Prime Minister’s interaction programme with students “Pariksha Pe Charcha-2020” to be held at Talkatora stadium, New Delhi on January 20.
The short-listed students of Class IX to XII are from Kendriya Vidyalaya (15), state government run Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya (3), one and two from Navodaya Vidyalaya and private schools, respectively. The students will only ask questions to the Prime Minister Narendra Modi this time, sources said.
Sources said around 2000 students from Class IX to XII, from across the country have been selected to meet the Prime Minister. Selection has been done on the basis of their scores in essay writing, sources added.
‘Two Class X students from our school have been selected in this basis to participate in the programme” said principal, Kendriya Vidyalaya, Berhampur Bighneswar Patnaik
“Participating in the event and asking questions to Prime Minister is a rare opportunity for me” said Gourav Biswal, a Class X student of KV Berhampur, who has been selected to participate in the event.
The themes given for Pariksha Pe Charcha were ‘Gratitude is Great’, ‘Your future depends on your aspirations’, ‘Examining Exams’, ‘Our duties, your take’ and ‘Balance is Beneficial’, sources added.
Besides 21 students, three teachers from the state have also been selected to participate in the programme this time.
Anupama Panda, a Hindi teacher of Odisha Adarsha Vidyalaya, Sheragada in Ganjam is one of them. Other two selected teachers are Sudhansu Sekhar Sahoo Podajalanga High School, Sundargarh and Madhusudan Mallick, government Boys’ High School, Unit IV Bhubaneswar, sources said.
