Bhubaneswar, Nov 17 (LocalWire) A world class weight lifting coaching centre will come up at Bhubaneswar with the support of the state government, former cricketer Anil Kumble’s organisation Tenvic Foundation and Rourkela based KJS Ahluwalia Group.
Signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) recently, KJS Ahluwalia Group committed to support Tenvic Foundation with an amount of Rs. 55 crore from its Corporate Social Responsibility fund to develop the centre.
“The amount, to be spend in the next 5 years, would mainly be used for developing world class infrastructure for weight lifting at Kalinga stadium complex and appointment of full-time world class coaches,” said a press release.
Tenvic Foundation, with the support of Odisha Sports & Youth Services Department, would conduct a talent hunt at different locations of the state to pick potential persons, who can be trained as weight lifters,” the release said.
