Bhubaneswar, Jan 4 (LocalWire) At least two people were killed and around 13 others critically injured in separate road accidents in Odisha, said police on Friday.
Two people were reportedly killed and three critically injured after a 108 ambulance, taking Kandagaradi-resident Upendra Sahu (50) to Bhadrak hospital, lost control and crashed into a roadside tree near Ugratara late Thursday.
Patient Sahu and ambulance helper Pramod Parida were killed in the mishap, during the mishap.
The patient’s relative Bijay Sahu and two others sustained injuries.
Bijay was admitted to SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack in a critical condition.
Police said the ambulance driver is still absconding.
In a separate incident, at least 10 passengers were reportedly injured after a bus, headed to Bhubaneswar from Bonai, overturned near Luthuruba on National Highway (NH-143) at Bonai in Sundergarh district late Thursday.
The driver and helper of the bus are reportedly absconding.
