Bhubaneswar, August 27 (LocalWire): The Odisha government has won two awards for its technology applications (iLMS and state COVID dashboard) at the recently concluded Tech Sabha Awards.
The Integrated Legal Monitoring System or iLMS was awarded in the category of enterprise applications.
It was rolled out in 12 departments to tackle pendency of legal cases filed against the government.
While the pendency count was up to 80,000 in 2017, within two years of implementation of iLMS, the pendency has been reduced to 24,000 in 2020.
iLMS has been instrumental in keeping track of the cases filed, bringing in accountability in case processing, transparency in disposal, timely decision making and inter-departmental co-operation.
Odisha government’s State COVID dashboard won the award for excellence in analytics and big data applications category.
The dashboard was set up with the objective of identifying and tracking suspect virus carriers, monitoring the health of critical and high priority cases, contact tracing and enforcing strict social distancing.
The application has also facilitated optimized utilization of healthcare resources in arresting infection and mortality, planning of infrastructure augmentation for handling upsurge in incidence, guaranteeing essential supplies and assistance to vulnerable population.
