Bhubaneswar, July 24 (LocalWire): The state government today said that the first patient of Coronavirus who was administered Plasma Therapy has recovered and been discharged from hospital.
“Happy to share that a 48-year old female patient of Cuttack who was the first patient of Odisha treated with PlasmaTherapy (at Ashwini Covid hospital) has recovered and is being discharged today,” the State Health and Family Welfare Department said.
The government claimed that a total of 13 patients have been given and the treatment and the therapy seems to be working on them well.
The department also said that other patients who were given the therapy are also doing good.
“So far 13 patient have received plasma therapy in the state and most are recovering well,” the department said.
The State Health department who has now plasma banks in selected COVID Hospitals yesterday also announced making the facility available in MKCG Medical College at Berhampur and also at Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar.
