Balasore, August 28 (LocalWire): Several people who invested in an online marketing company lured by the promise of high returns are afraid of losing their money and have lodged an FIR with the town police since it stopped remitting the promised amount to their bank accounts.
The investors complained against the Kolkata-based private online chain marketing company that was allegedly churning out high returns after an initial amount was deposited.
The legal counsel of these investors, Md. Islam, said the company siphoned off over Rs 2 crore from Balasore market.
Several people have lost their hard-earned money.
According to investors, they had invested online with a company named G Net Ad world, after being lured by handsome returns.
As per the company policy, one had to invest Rs 12,000 initially.
As soon as the amount was invested, the client would receive Rs 100 daily that would be credited to the investors’ bank account.
If the person recommended others, he would also receive a commission.
‘Since one was receiving Rs 30,000 by investing Rs 12000, we invested in the company.
We were also tempted by the commission attached and recommended as many people as possible.
Several investors who joined a year ago received handsome returns.
Some also purchased multiple units and reaped financial benefits.
But those who joined recently, are not getting returns.
We lost our savings but want at least the principal amount back,’ the duped investors cried.
