Bhubaneswar, Jan 3 (LocalWire) People turned to bonfire as coldwaves sweep major parts of Odisha for past some days.
The mercury level hovered below 10 degree Celsius in many parts of the state even as light rain lashed Cuttack, Bhubaneswar besides some other coastal and interior parts in the north.
Keonjhar recorded 9.5 degree Celsius. Sky remains overcast across the state.
The India Materological Department (IMD) said the night temperature will marginally go up before dipping further from January 5.
There may be more rain on Saturday, the IMD said.
