Paradip, Nov 27 (LocalWire) Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik has declared Paradip Police Station as a model police station.
An inaugural function was held on Paradip police station premises on Monday evening, which was attended by Paradip Port (PPT) chairman Rinkesh Roy, collector Yamini Sarangi, Superintendent of Police Prakash R and Indian Coast Guard Deputy Inspector General Rajesh Makwana.
The model police station has been taken up for enhancing infrastructure, beautification of police station campus, scaling up CCTV surveillance, setting up a proper reception center and separate Mahila & Sishu desks, among other facilities.
The station has an air-conditioned office for the station house officer, besides two cabins for sub-inspectors and a reception cabin.
Paradip police station was established on June 7, 1964 since inception of the Paradip Port Township.
