Paradip, July 28 (LocalWire): Paradip Ladies Club today organised a blood donation camp at its office premises to inculcate the spirit of social activism among the people of Paradip.
Gracing the occasion as chief guest, Rinkesh Roy, chairman, PPT, inaugurated the event. Guest of honour, DIG, coast guard, Paradip, A Kaushik, chairman, Paradip municipality Basant Kumar Biswal, Paradip ladies club president, Subhalaxmi Roy, Paradip ladies club secretary, Kalpana Sahu, PPT secretary, Bimal Kumar Jha, chief medical officer, PPT Hospital, P Panda and ladies club members were also present.
Apart from officers and employees of Paradip, members of Paradip Banika Sangha, students of Orissa Maritime Academy, NCC cadets from Paradip College and Gopabandhu Kreeda Sansad and an overwhelming number of volunteers from Paradip Sakshyarata Samiti, CISF and Coast Guard units of Paradip donated blood.
Assisted by the staffs from the Red Cross Wing, Jagatsinghpur, around 200 units of blood were collected.
