Bhubaneswar, August 28 (LocalWire): The state government today launched a Rs 5.21 crore-worth multi-dimensional pilot project in Nabarangpur district to increase productivity in farming, animal husbandry and fisheries sector.
Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, launched it through video conference at Lok Seva Bhawan here.
He said the project will usher in all round socio-economic development for people living in farming and ancillary sectors.
The project envisages among other things the productivity growth in agriculture, fisheries, poultry and livestock sectors by applying modern technology.
Fifteen departments of the state government will act in cohesion with Centre-run research organizations like Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR), Central Institute of Agricultural Engineering for the success of the multi-dimensional pilot project, said officials.
