Bhubaneswar, July 28 (LocalWire): The plasma bank for COVID-19 patients being set up at Capital Hospital, Bhubaneswar was inaugurated by the Chief Minister today.
The inauguration was conducted through video conferencing; this is the second plasma bank to be set up in the state after the first one was set up in SCB Medical College on July 16.
In earlier announcements, the state government had revealed its intent to set up five plasma banks in the state.
With one plasma bank already functioning at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack, the other four would be at Capital Hospital Bhubaneswar, IGH Rourkela, MKCG Medical College Berhampur and VIMSAR Medical College and Hospital in Burla.
The CM is also inaugurated a dedicated plasma website today.
It may be noted that SUM and KIIMS hospitals in Bhubaneswar and Ashwini Hospital in Cuttack have started providing plasma treatment.
The plasma bank at IGH Rourkela is to be inaugurated on July 29.
