Bhubaneswar, June 21 (LocalWire): Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) results were released today afternoon by the school and mass education minister, Samir Ranjan Das, here, at Gita Govinda Sadan.
This year, the total pass percentage in Arts stream is 65.89% and in Commerce, the total pass percentage is 70.26 % with 67.91% boys and 74.52% girls passing the exam.
A total of 2,35,183 students appeared for the annual exam in Arts and Commerce stream out of which 1,52,323 have successfully cleared the exam.
Around 27,278 candidates appeared for Commerce and 18,826 students passed the exam while, out of 8,058 candidates who appeared in the Arts stream, 4,126 students passed.
A many as 544 students secured first division and 1707 students have obtained second division.
In Arts, as many as 17,173 candidates secured first division, 944 secured second 1,10,451 secured third division.
While in Commerce 5,629 secured First division, 3,746 secured second division, and 9,422 secured third division.
Balasore district registered the highest pass rate of 75.67 % with Nabarangpur recording the least pass rate at 47.46% in Arts stream.
Four colleges registered 100 percent results while two colleges in Khurda and Jajpur district registered zero results in Arts.
Similarly, as many as 25 colleges recorded 100 percent results in Commerce while four colleges registered zero results this year.
