Berhampur, August 29 (LocalWire): A day after the security forces busted a Maoist camp in Kandhamal district, anti-Maoist operation was intensified in the district today to take on the outlawed CPI (Maoist).
The anti-Maoist operation was intensified by engaging more forces in Tararaju forest area under Gochhapada police station limits and its adjoining areas, said SP (Kandhamal) Pratik Singh.

Security forces busted the Maoist camp at Motangi jungle near Pahiraju on Wednesday afternoon after exchange of fire between them.
Besides a 12-bore rifle and 11 ammunitions, security forces also seized four radio sets, six detonators and Mao literatures from the camp, said the SP.
Some improvised explosive devices, which were also recovered from near the camp have been defused on the spot, he said.
Singh said during the anti-Maoist operation conducted by the Special Operation Group and District Volunteer Force in the area, the Maoists started firing at them.
Security forces retaliated which lasted for about half-an hour.
Though no causality was reported, police suspect some Red rebels might be injured.
Police said most of the ultras belonged to Chhatisgarh and they were planning a major attack in the district.
At least 15 rebels were in the camp during the incident and belonged to the Kalahandi-Kandhamal-Boudh-Nayagarh (KKBN) division of the CPI (Maoist), police said.
