Bhubaneswar, Mar 24 (Local Wire): The Twin City Commissionerate office moved by the heavy rush of people seeking passes to enable their movement during the lockout has now suspended their earlier move.
Police Commissioner Sudhanshu Sarangi on Tuesday announced the suspension of its earlier order which had asked people to get special vehicle passes for smooth movement during the lockdown period for the people exempted from the lock down.
Sarangi on Tuesday, a day after the order said that he has decided to suspend the earlier order as the order had led to heavy rush to the police offices, defeating the idea of social distancing which is required during the period.
The police commissioner said that it has now planned to come up with an IT-based solution to takle the issue of issue of special passes.
He also said that persons not falling under the exempted category and want to venture out for hospitals need to show medical reports and hospital papers for being allowed on the road.
