Paradip, March 3 (LocalWire) The authorities of the Paradip port on Tuesday sent a couple, part of 23 crew members of a Singapore vessel to undergo the test for novel coronavirus after one of them developed symptoms.
The couple from Uttar Pradesh and the other crew members had set sail from China on February 15 and arrived at Paradip Port on March 1 via Hong Kong and Singapore.
After the arrival of the ship, the port authorities were informed about the man on board having symptoms.
Immediately a team of doctors rushed to the ship to check the patient and found him suffering from mild fever.
As the ship had arrived from China, we have sent him and his wife to SCB Medical College and Hospital at Cuttack for further examination, port medical officer Prahllad Panda said.
