Puri, May 15 (LocalWire): Thirteen days after the extremely severe cyclonic storm Fani ravaged coastal Odisha, power supply will be restored in Puri district today.
‘We have engaged 524 teams to restore power supply to 29,01,171 consumers in the severely-affected Puri district.
The state government is taking all out efforts,’ said Information and Public Relations (I&PR) Secretary Sanjay Kumar Singh.
‘Restoring power connection in Puri is a big challenge for us due to large-scale damage to the infrastructure. But we will start supplying power to Puri and Konark towns from 15 May,’ Singh added.
The cyclone, that hit the coast near the temple town on 3 May, devastated basic infrastructures like electricity, telecom and water supply.
