Paradip, July 21(LocalWire): A state-of-the-art effluent treatment plant was commissioned today within the PPT Hospital premises. After treatment, the water will be used in the garden of PPT Hospital thus preventing ground water from contamination.
Rinkesh Roy, PPT chairman, also inaugurated a digital Radiovisiogram (RVG) in the Dental department during the occasion.
Images of teeth and pathology can directly seen on the computer screen with the help of RVG.
X-ray of the tooth or chemically processing and investigate the problem becomes redundant now.
Roy dedicated both equipment for PPT services in the presence of Paradip Ladies Club president, Subhalaxmi Roy, regional officer Ramesh Kumar Ekka, state pollution control board, Govt of Odisha, Basant Kumar Biswal, chairman, Paradip municipality, HoDs, officers and employees of PPT.
PPT Hospital already has a solid waste-disposal system.
This liquid waste disposal system, adds yet another feather to its cap for its commitment towards prevention of pollution and biohazard in and around Paradip.
The plant has a capacity of processing and treating 10 kilolitres of waste water daily.
It has been designed and installed by Richardson Cruddas Ltd, Chennai, a govt of Tamilnadu undertaking with a cost of Rs 32 lakhs.
