Paradip, Dec 3 (LocalWire) Paradip Port Trust (PPT) on Monday observed International Day of Persons With Disabilities with an event on the premises of Jagruti School, an institution for physically-challenged children.
Saluting the spirit and determination of the students, PPT chairman Rinkesh Roy said: “PPT will take necessary steps within its ambit for all-round development of the school.”
He also emphasized on conducting a survey, so as to include more such local children in the school curriculum.
Rinkesh Roy inaugurated a Children’s Park on the occasion, while Paradip Ladies Club president Subhalaxmi Roy opened a Kitchen Room at Jagruti.
Rinkesh Roy felicitated U.K. Dubey, Paradip Unit Head of TISCO, who contributed for installation of playing equipment on the premises of Children’s Park at Jagruti.
He announced introduction of a 50-seat bus service towards transportation facilities of children of Jagruti.
He distributed gifts to the differently-abled employees of Paradip Port Trust as well as children of Jagruti.
Paradip Ladies Club donated Rs. 20,000 towards development of Jagruti.
Subhalaxmi Roy awarded the winners of different competitions held on the occasion.
The special children of Jagruti staged cultural programs on the occasion.
