Bhubaneswar, Dec 27 (LocalWire) Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Friday targeted opposition Congress, saying the party has radical ideologies followed by the Odisha Congress leader Pradeep Majhi.
Pradhan also directly blamed Congress for widespread violence in the country against over new citizenship law and National Register of citizens.
“The way Odisha Congress leader Pradeep Majhi is blatantly commanding protestors to go on a rampage by setting everything on fire clearly depicts the radical ideologies of the Indian National Congress and the ethos inculcated by the party amongst their people,” Pradhan said in his reaction to reported clip of Majhi directing his party workers on mobile phone to set afire everything immediately after getting orders.
Majhi had reportedly instigated party workers in Nabarangpur during day-long shutdown on Dec 26 protesting against ‘police inaction’ in connection with the alleged gang rape and murder of a minor girl in Kosagumuda area.
“Petrol ebam diesel ready kari rakhi thaa-a. Direction milile jaali deba (keep petrol and diesel ready. Set the target on fire as soon as you get directions),” Majhi was allegedly saying to his supporters.
However, it’s authenticity could not be independently verified by LocalWire. The former lawmaker could not be reached for comment.
