Berhampur, April 8 (LocalWire): Senior BJP leader and union minister Dharmendra Pradhan on Monday attacked the Naveen Patnaik government as corrupt and failing in all fronts.
During his whirlwind tour of Ganjam, the home district of the chief minister and BJD supremo, Pradhan conducted road shows and public meetings in three Assembly constituencies of Chikiti, Sorada and Hinjili – the home turf of the chief minister.
‘We have given 19 years to Naveen Babu but he failed to develop Hinjili. The able persons of the constituency are going outside the state, particularly Surat in Gujarat to eke out their living because the government has failed to provide opportunities to them,’ said Pradhan, at a meeting in Hinjili.
The Union minister ensured that the BJP would give a corruption-free government in the state, if voted to power.
At Chikiti, he said the government failed to provide basic requirements like drinking water facilities and health services to the people.
The patients from the area are depending on the hospitals in Andhra Pradesh for treatment as there are no proper medical facilities here. If a hospital was built, there were no doctors to treat the patients, he reiterated.
In all three meetings, he highlighted different welfare programmes of the Narendra Modi government at the Centre and appealed to the people to topple the BJD government in the state and help Modi become the prime minister once again.
The BJP’s Assembly and Lok Sabha candidates also addressed the meetings.
