Berhampur, February 18 (LocalWire) The Board of Secondary Education, Odisha (BSE) is setting up nodal centers in several places of Maoist-hit Kandhamal and other southern districts for smooth-conduct of annual HSC examination, an official said on Monday.
The nodal centers will be set up at Belaghara, Chakapada, Daringibadi, Gochhapada, Kotaghar, Bramhanigaon and Tumudibandh, deputy secretary of board’s Berhampur zone Subash Behera told LocalWire.
The board has also decided to dispatch the question papers to the examination centers on the same day before the commencement of examination.
‘Forces would be deployed in the nodal centers (other than police stations) to guard the question and answer papers’, said additional SP (Kandhamal) Utkal Ranjan Das.
BSE’s Berhampur zone is setting up nodal centers in Ganjam (16), Gajapati (4), Boudh (3) and Kandhamal (19) for keeping the question and answer-sheets under security.
In these four districts, a total of 351 examination centers would be set up, where 77,890 students, including regular and ex-regulars of 1066 schools will appear in the examination.
The HSC examination is scheduled to start from 22nd February and timing has been shifted to 10 AM, which was 9 AM in the previous year.
A training program was carried out recently for the center superintendents.
