Bhubaneswar, Sept 14 (LocalWire) The state government on Monday directed private hospitals having bed strength of 30 or above to reserve 80 per cent of their intensive care units beds for COVID patients.
The private hospitals located in Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Sambalpur, Berhampur and Rourkela Municipal corporation area will also have to mandatorily designate a minimum 50 per cent of their general beds for treatment of COVID patients.
According to the notification issued by the health and family welfare department the hospitals shall charge the patients at the rate the government had notified.
As many as 367 COVID patients have died so far in the state by Monday.
Odisha now has a total of 35,673 recorded active cases and a total of 1, 18,642 recoveries.
