Bhubaneswar, December 14 (LocalWire): Train services in the State were affected on Sunday for the second successive day in view of hartal, picketing on the tracks and other forms of disturbances in neighbouring West Bengal over the enactment of the Citizenship Amendment Act.
17 Howrah trains bounds are cancelled in view of the prevailing situation in West Bengal.
Besides ten other trains were partially cancelled in view of disturbance, the latest release by East Coast Railway stated.
“In view of public agitation at different Railway Stations in Howrah-Kharagpur Railway Section of South Eastern Railway, several trains are cancelled and controlled en route at different places”, it said.
The trains which will not run today are Sealdah-Puri Express from Sealdah, Puri-Chennai Express from Puri, Puri-Santragachhi Passenger from Puri, Puri-Khurda Passenger, Tirupati-Howrah express from Tirupati, Ernakulam-Howrah express from Ernakulam, Chennai- Howrah Coromondal express from Chennai, Digha-Puri Express from Digha, Yesvantpur-Howrah express, Hyderabad-Howrah east coast express from Hyderabad, Chennai-Puri express from Chennai, Chennai-Howrah express, Chennai-Howrah Coromandal Express from Chennai, Yesvantpur-Howrah Express from Yesvantpur, Mangalore-Santragachhi Express from Mangalore, Puducherry-Santragachhi Express from Puducherry, Vascodagama- Howrah Amaravati Express from Vascodagama, Secunderabad-Guwahati Express from Secunderabad and New Tinsukia-Bangalore Express from New Tinsukia.
