Bhubaneswar, October 12 (LocalWire): The Ministry of Railways has announced that it will be introducing a new daily express train between Nayagarh Town and Bhubaneswar from 15 October.
The ministry has also approved 10 trains under its Sewa service initiative for better connectivity between smaller towns and important cities and the Bhubaneswar-Nayagarh Town express train is one among them.
According to the officials, the train will leave from Bhubaneswar at 6.40 pm and reach Nayagarh Town at 8.45 pm.
On its return journey, the train will leave Nayagarh Town at 6.30 am and arrive in Bhubaneswar at 9 am, with stoppages at Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Khurda Town, Begunia, Rajsunakhala, Bolagarh Road and Nayagarh Town.
Presently, there are two passenger trains running between Khurda Road and Nayagarh Town, and the Railways has introduced five daily trains and five other trains that will run a six-days-a-week.
The ministry officials also informed that the railway minister Piyush Goyal will be launching the Sewa service trains by inaugurating the Delhi-Shamli daily passenger train at New Delhi on Tuesday.
He will also flag off other trains through videoconferencing.
The other trains include Vadnagar-Mahesana DEMU, Asarva (Ahmedabad)-Himmatnagar DEMU, Karur-Salem DEMU, Murkogselek-Dibrugarh passenger, Kota-Jhalwar City passenger, Palani-Coimbatore passenger, Yesvantpur-Tumkur DEMU and Coimbatore-Pollachi passenger.
