Bhubaneswar, Dec 12 (LocalWire): Odisha is likely to experience rainfall from Saturday due to formation of a low pressure in Bay of Bengal.
Director of the Centre for Environment and Climate of SOA University Sarat Chandra Sahu on Wednesday said a low pressure formed in Bay of Bengal is likely to intensify into depression.
It is likely to bring rain to several parts of the state for three days starting from Saturday, Sahu added.
The news has led to panic among farmers as the crops that are ready for harvest might rot away in the rains.
However, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has taken time to confirm the forecast.
