Jajpur, April 25 (LocalWire): Union Home minister Rajnath Singh today said the Centre is aiming to eradicate poverty and will provide houses with LPG connections to all by 2022 at an election meeting at Bari in Jajpur district.
It is high time the people of Odisha elect the BJP government in the state as Naveen Patnaik-led BJD government has failed in all the fronts to develop the state during the two decade-long misrule.
A BJP government at the state and Center will be like a double engine and improve the lives of the people of Odisha. Congress and BJD have failed to develop the state miserably, he said.
Singh also criticized Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for rejecting the Centre’s flagship Ayushman Bharat health insurance scheme for the poor.
‘The Union government launched the insurance to provide Rs 5 lakh health insurance coverage per family annually but the BJD government does not seem to understand the importance of this scheme.
After coming to power in Odisha, BJP government will provide health facilities to the people.
The people have already voted in three phases for ‘parivartan’ (change), said Singh.
Tribals and Dalits, who were once considered as traditional voters of the Congress and BJD are no longer with them.
History will be created in Odisha in 2019 with the BJP coming to power, said Singh.
He also said that the country is in safe hands and India under Prime Minister Narendra Modi is developing on all fronts.
All Congress Prime Ministers from Nehru to Rajiv Gandhi had given the slogan of ‘garibi hatao’ but they failed to remove poverty from the country.
But Narendra Modi will eradicate poverty.
The day India will be free from Congress, it will become poverty-free.
India has become stronger and its global image has improved under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the last five years, said the Union minister.
