Bhubaneswar, December 27 (LocalWire) :The Rourkela-Gunupur-Rourkela Rajyarani Express will run on a daily basis from tomorrow to meet with the increasing footfall in the express train.
It was running six days a week and its frequency has now been increased to a week. The timings and stoppages for this train at various scheduled Stations will remain unchanged, said East Coast Railway (ECoR) officials.
Earlier, the Rajyarani Express was introduced as a tri-weekly Express between Jharsuguda and Bhubaneswar in November, 2011 and later it was extended to Rourkela in July, 2012.
This Train was further extended up to Gunupur on March 20, 2017 via Paralakhemundi connecting important cities between Rourkela and Bhubaneswar directly with Gajapati and Rayagada Districts.
From March, 2019; the frequency of Rajyarani Express was increased from tri-weekly to 6 days in a week.
The express train will have stoppages at Kansbahal, Rajgangpur, Garposh, Bamra, Bagdih, Jharsuguda, Rengali, Sambalpur City, Rairakhol, Boinda, Angul, Talcher Road, Dhenkanal, Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road, Nirakarpur, Balugaon, Chhatrapur, Brahmapur, Ichhapuram, Sompeta, Palasa, Naupada and Paralakhemundi between Rourkela and Gunupur, ECoR officials added.
