Bhubaneswar, April 22 (Local Wire): The state government has now temporarily halted the testing of citizens under the rapid antibody testing system in the city.
This comes after the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) advised states to halt the rapid testing for two days.
The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) has stopped the rapid testing accordingly.
“As per the directive of ICMR we have suspended the drive of rapid antibody tests for Coronavirus for two days,” said Prem Choudhary, BMC Commissoner.
The government has till now been able to test close to 4800 samples through the rapid method.
However after its efficiency was questioned, the government has halted its drive on the new method.
