Berhampur, August 20 (LocalWire): The Saraswati Vidya Mandir Higher Secondary School in Nilakantha Nagar here achieved a cent percent result in Commerce stream in Plus II, the results of which were declared on Wednesday.
With this, the privately-run school has achieved the rare distinction, securing cent percent results in a row for the last nine years in Commerce stream.
All 123 students enrolled in Commerce stream have passed the examination.
Of them, 115 students have secured first division and seven of them got above 90 percent marks. Six and two students passed in second and third division, respectively.
While 40 students have secured above 90 percent in the entire state, seven of them from our school, said its principal S. Mohan Rao.
Rahul Prasanna Sahu of the college ranked third position in the state with obtaining 561 out of 600 marks, he said.
“Proper guidance by the teachers and parents was helpful to me in securing this achievement,” said Sahu. He aimed to be a CA in future.
“Regular tests and exams was one of the causes for the cent percent success of the institute,” said the principal.
The achievement of the school was due to the team efforts, he added.
Similarly, except two, all of its 505 students appeared in the examination in Science stream this year have also passed.
Moreover, 15 students had secured over 90 percent in the Science stream.
The school had also achieved 100 percent results for the last 28 years in the high school certificate (HSC) examinations, while all of its 345 students have passed the HSC examination, this year.
Of them 54 got A-1 Grade with obtaining above 90 percent of marks.
Saraswati Sishu Vidyamandir was established in 1979.
The first batch of the Plus II (Science) appeared the examination in 2009 and the first batch of Commerce in 2012.
