Kendrapara, Dec 21 (LocalWire): Vigilance officials on Friday said they have booked an Odisha school teacher in an alleged disproportionate assets case.
Simultaneous raids were conducted at four places related to Jamapada Girls’ High School teacher Ranjan Kumar Nayak on charges of amassing disproportionate assets.
Vigilance sleuths conducted raids at his house at Kalapada, his in-law’s house at Bahakandia, his chamber in school and his brother-in-law’s house at Jamapada.
A car, two motor cycles, gold ornaments of around 500 gm and five trucks were seized during the raid.
Property worth over Rs. 1.5 crore has been seized during the raid, said vigilance DSP Surendra Nath Raiguru.
However, refuting all charges, Nayak said, “I have no disproportionate assets, all are accounted properties.”
