Berhampur, April 16 (Localwire): A high school teacher has been suspended in Ganjam district after he was accused of violating the model code of conduct by making political propaganda on social media.
Kailash Pati Das, an assistant teacher of Alapur High School in Hinjili, was put under suspension on Monday by collector-cum-district-election-officer Vijay Amruta Kulange for flouting the model code.
The action was taken after education officer Sanatan Panda submitted an enquiry report to the collector on his direction.
Panda had verified Das’ social media accounts and found the allegation was true.
Collector Kulange has warned of strict action against government employees found violating the model code. Meanwhile, notices were issued against 44 employees, who had skipped election duty on April 11.
