Bhubaneswar, Dec 11 (LocalWire) The Odisha government has constituted a seven-member search committee for the selection of Lokayukta.
The decision was taken at a high-level meeting here at State Guest House in presence of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Orissa High Court Chief Justice KS Jhaveri, Leader of Opposition Narasingha Mishra and other members of the panel.
The search committee will be led by former chief justice of Orissa High Court Amitabh Ray.
The committee include former IAS officer Sanjiv Hota, former Odisha DGP Gopal Chandra Nanda, former IAS officer Dr RN Bohidar, Dr Bindu Bhusan Samal, Prof Snigdha Pantaik of XIMB, and Prof Venkata Rao Rambhatla as other members.
The search committee will recommend names for the appointment of Lokayukta within a month.
Narasingha Mishra said once the search-committee recommends the names, the Lokayukta panel will be finalised.
