Paradip Jan 31 (LocalWire) The Paradip Port Authority has restricted the entry of crew members of seven vessels coming from China, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Singapore which have been affected by 2019- Novel Coronavirus, officials said on Saturday.
They said that preparation have also been made at the port to screen passengers coming from China, Malaysia and showing symptoms of nCoV infection.
Crew members are requested to self-monitor the symptoms suggestive of NcoV within 28 days from the date of departure from nCoV affected countries.
Chief Medical Officer, Paradip Prahllad Panda has informed “seven vehicles have been detained at the anchorage and entries of crew members have been restricted on the land during loading-unloading of cargo”.
Captain of the Vessels have been asked to inform the port authority about crew members suspected of the virus.
He also expressed that no suspected cases of Coronavirus in Odisha have been detected so far.
