Khurda, October 18 (LocalWire): The Khurda district police ordered the compulsory retirement of sub-inspector Banamali Nayak on account of corruption charges against him.
According to official sources, there were nine vigilance cases against Nayak of which two are still pending.
The Odisha Government had issued a circular on premature retirement plan to weed out officers and employees with doubtful integrity.
Earlier, the government had ordered the premature retirement of one officer and compulsory retirement to four officers on corruption charges.
Nayak had five more years of service left, sources said.
