Paradip, April 10 (LocalWire): Social worker Subrat Kumar Nayak, who has been working for poor and orphaned children in Jagatsinghpur district, has been honoured with the Babasaheb Ambedkar Nobel Awards 2019 at a function in Mumbai, organizers said on Wednesday.
The fourth edition of the awards was hosted by the International Human Rights Council (IHRC), one of the world’s leading independent organizations dedicated to protecting human rights, on Tuesday.
In the recent past, several actors, lawyers, doctors, environmentalists, journalist and others, were also bestowed with the award.
Nayak, who hails from Ghodans, has been working for the poor in Paradip and other areas of the district. He is also the general secretary of IHRC’s Jagatsinghpur branch.
