Bhubaneswar, August 25 (LocalWire): Education is the key to all development, said Austin Fernando, the Sri Lankan High Commissioner to India during his visit to Kalinga Institute of Social Sciences and KIIT today.
‘Tribal people are living in a state of deprivation which only education can eradicate.
Sothe tribal students should educate themselves,’ he advised students while asking them to prepare well to face the challenges of the future.
Appreciating the work of Achyuta Samanta, the founder of KIIT and KISS, he said, ‘Through KISS, Samanta has proved that one man can make a difference and set example for others in the globe.
Students should learn from Dr. Samanta to give something back to their families, community, society, state and country.’
The Sri Lankan High Commissioner, his wife and the Sri Lankan Counsellor also visited the campus of KIIT and units of KISS.
