Bhubaneswar, Sept 29 (LocalWire): The Odisha government today said that the state added 3252 more cases of Coronavirus in the latest round of sample testing.
The Khurda district seemed to be the most troubled site in the state as it recorded the highest of 762 new cases of the disease in the latest testing.
With the detection of the new cases, the total reported cases of the viral disease in the state touched 97,920 till now.
The State Information and Public Relations Department said that out of the new cases detected, 1987 cases are from quarantine while 1265 cases are local contacts.
All the 30 districts reported the rise of new cases.
While Khurda district reported the maximum cases, it was followed by Raygada which reported 450 new cases.
Other districts which reported the new cases included-Cuttack (323), Ganjam (169), Bargarh (146) and Mayurbhanj (123).
Kalahandi (2 cases), Deogarh (7 cases) and Malkangiri (21) were the regions which saw least new cases of the viral disease.
The government claims to have done a total of 16,70,910 testing till now while it is also home to now 29,571 active cases.
It has also seen recoveries of 67,826 cases.
