Bhubaneswar, April 6 (Local Wire): The state government on Monday barred the usage of vehicles for going to shops for buying essential commodities.
It asked the citizens to either walk down to the nearest shops or use a bicycle.
The government also asked the public not to go to wholesale market during the lockdown period.
“The citizens should not go to wholesale markets.
They are also not allowed to use vehicles to go for marketing.
You can walk down to the nearby shops or use a bicycle,” Subroto Bagchi, Chief Spokesperson of tbe government on COVID said.
Earlier the Twin City Police Commissionerate and Ganjam District Administration had barred the use of bikes and four wheelers for marketing.
They also had said that such vehicles parked near markets will also be seized.
