Bhubaneswar. August 16 (LocalWire) The state cabinet headed by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday afternoon approved six proposals including a bill to set up Odisha Maritime Board.
The Odisha Maritime Board will be headed by the Chief Secretary with another 11 members.
The state government also decided to financially restructure the state-run Odisha State Road Transport Corporation in the meeting.
A decision to widen peripheral areas of Puri Jagannath Temple in view of the recommendation set up by Justice B P Das for security concerns was also approved in the meeting today.
As per the decision, Puri Collector has been empowered to survey and demarcate required area for development of the temple periphery in consultation with the Sri Jagannath Temple Administration.
All the land losing persons would be compensated by the government from ABADHA scheme; Chief Secretary-designate Asit Tripathy said post the meeting.
