Bhubaneswar, Sept 15 (LocalWire): The State Cabinet under the leadership of Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik passed three proposals on diverse financial issues.
The Cabinet passed the Odisha GST Amendment Bill 2020, amendment to the Odisha Local Fund Audit Act and also talked about finalising tender for the construction of a bridge over Subarnarekha river in Balasore district.
The Cabinet passed the proposal for the Odisha GST (Amendment) Bill 2020 and replacement of Odisha GST (Amendment) Ordinance 2020 and Odisha GST (2nd Amendment) Ordinance 2020.
In the proposed Odisha GST (Amendment) Bill 2020, 12 Sections and one paragraph would be amended and the two ordinances would be replaced accordingly.
The Cabinet meanwhile to simplify the serving of surcharge notices and orders cleared making it electronic based by amending the Odisha Local Fund Audit Act 1948.
The Cabinet also approved the tender for the construction of a bridge on Subaranarekha to connect Jamkunda near Baliapal Block to Adangapantei under Bhograi Block.
The tender of Rs 138.74 crore to a firm was also approved for execution of the project which is expected to be completed within 30 months.
