Bhubaneswar, April 17 (Local Wire): The state government claims that it has tested a total of 7577 samples from suspected patients in Odisha by Thursday midnight but no new case of COVID 19 was detected.
The latest data from the health department claimed that out of the 7577 total tests till now the number of positive cases are still confined at 60 while there are 40 active cases of COVID 19 in the state.
The state is now undertaking close to 1200 tests per day.
The government claims that close to 50 per cent of the cases are between the age group of 15 years-40 years.
According to the age-wise distribution of the cases 48.3 percent of the total cases are from this age group.
On the gender basis, 67 per cent of the total cases (40) out of the total 60 cases are male patients while others are female .
