Bhubaneswar, April 10 (Local Wire): The state government has now planned to scale up their COVID testing capacity with the introduction of new ‘antibody-based diagnosis’.
The new technique recently got approval from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR).
Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy said that the new technique is faster than the existing method of antigen-based tests.
“We are in the process of procuring the testings kits for antibody-based diagnosis.
This is a latest method approved by the government which gives results quicker than the antigen based tests.
With this we can scale up our testings,” Tripathy said.
The government has now set target to conduct close to 1 lakh rapid testing of the n-COVID 19 to ensure more population are screened for the global pandemic.
