Bhubaneswar, Mar 24 (Local Wire): The state government on Tuesday morning announced imposition of the lock down in all the 30 districts of Odisha citing the threat from the spread of Coronavirus in the state when the numbers of cases are rising throughout the country.
In the official daily briefing on Coronavirus, the Chief Spokesperson of Odisha government Subroto Bagchi said that the decision has now been taken to extend the lock down throughout the state.
“We have now decided that all the districts will now be included under the lock down notice.
A meeting into this regard has just concluded where the Collectors and the Chief Secretary discussed the matter the modalities,” Bagchi said.
Bagchi said that the lock down has been planned from Tuesday midnight and will be applicable to the midnight of March 29.
The official also said that all the SC/ST hostels across the state have been asked to be vacated by Tuesday midnight.
