Bhubaneswar, May 31 (Local Wire): The guidelines of the Odisha government on the new lockdown rules are likely to be announced tomorrow by the state officials.
According to sources in the state government, it is holding talks with different stakeholders to decide on the modalities of rolling out the new norms for the lockdown 5/Unlock 1.0.
“We are holding talks with the officials and different other stakeholders.
We are in the process of drafting the state norms as per the national norms issued by the Home Ministry yesterday.
Most likely we will announce it to the public on June 1,” a senior bureaucrat in the government told Local Wire.
As per the plan, either the Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy or the Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena will announce the new norms to the public through a virtual press conference.
The Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and the Collectors in the districts are also likely to be given power to issue their localized norms as per the local situation and levels of threat from Coronavirus.
