Bhubaneswar, May 24 (Local Wire): State Relief Commissioner (SRC) Pradeep Kumar Jena on Sunday in a media briefing said that all passengers coming to the state from flights or trains must go for 14 days of mandatory quarantine.
This however will not be applicable to the persons who come for official works for few days to the state and also inside the state.
“We have changed the quarantine rules. Now all passengers coming either by train or flight must undergo 14 days of quarantine.
In rural areas they need to go for institutional quarantine and in urban areas home quarantine will be allowed,” Jena said.
The SRC also said that the state has now allowed movement of intra-city buses but the bus operators cannot accommodate passengers more than their sitting capacity.
He also said that passengers taking the public transport will also need to must use masks otherwise they will be liable for legal action.
The state government has now also eased restrictions on the Ola/Uber cabs and auto rickshaws with the instructions of limited seating.
The SRC also said that the state is also ready bear the costs of incoming migrants coming from trains if they register with the government.
The government has meanwhile also approved intra-state movement of trains to facilitate the movement of rail passengers inside the state.
