Bhubaneswar, April 15 (Local Wire): The state government on Friday came to rescue of several migrants who are walking on the roads to reach to their destinations during the lockdown period.
The government said that it has arranged special buses and foods for the migrants.
It also said that now the migrants should not walk or cycle to their homes in the state.
It said that police check points and police stations could be visited for seeking such assistance.
“No person should now walk on the roads in the state. Any person coming upto the border check posts in the state will be taken care of.
They will be provided with special buses and food to help in their travel,” said Abhay, Director General of Police, Odisha.
He also said the expenses for the services will be borne by the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF).
The official said that migrants walking on the roads in the state can also seek assistance from the police by either calling to their nearest police station or visiting them.
