Bhubaneswar, Sept 3 (LocalWire): The state government today said that it has seen a rise of 3631 new cases of Coronavirus in the latest round of sample testing.
The State Information and Public Relations Departtment said that with the addition of the new cases, the total cases in the state touched 1,13,411.
Out of the 3631 new cases detected, 2214 cases are said to be from quarantine while 1417 cases are from local contacts.
A total of 30 districts reported the new cases.
Khurda district reported the highest of 722 new cases.
Mayurbhanj district on the other hand reported the second highest of 365 new cases.
Mayurbhanj district has seen a rise in new cases rapidly and most of the cases in the district are said to be from outside quarantine centres.
The latest government records claim that Odisha has till now done 19.05 lakh sample testing and it is also home to 28,763 active cases. The state is also said to have seen recoveries of 84,073 cases.
