Bhubaneswar, May 4 (Local Wire): The state government on Monday said that it detected seven new cases of Coronavirus from the state today while the total cases in the state touched 169.
While new cases kept pouring in from two Red Zones one case was also reported from Sundergarh containment Zone.
The seven cases were reported from Sundergarh, Bhadrak and Jajpur.
The government said that the one case was reported from Nala Road in Sundergarh district.
The patient was identified as a 29-year-old female from Rourkela. Sundergarh has till now reported a total of 11 cases
Jajpur district meanwhile continued to report the maximum cases. On Monday it reported a total of four new cases.
All the four cases were from people who returned from West Bengal.
The government has started contact tracing and follow up actions. Jajpur now has reported a total of 52 cases.
On the other hand, two cases were also reported from Bhadrak where A 45-year-old and another 55 years old males were detected for Coronavirus.
Bhadrak has till now reported a total of 21 cases.
