Bhubaneswar, Sept 28 (LocalWire): The State Information and Public Relations Department today reported a minor dip in the number of new cases detected in the latest sample testing.
According to the department, the state added a total of 3235 new cases of Coronavirus in the latest round of sample testing.
Out of the new cases, a total of 1915 cases were from quarantine while a total of 1320 cases were from local contacts.
Khurda district which had been reporting a higher number of cases saw a minor dip and reported 506 total new cases.
However this was the highest number of new cases reported by any district.
It was followed by Cuttack which saw 318 new cases. Other districts which reported higher number of new cases included-Angul (179 cases), Jajpur (110) and Balasore (100).
With the addition of the new cases, the total reported cases from the state touched 2,12,609.
The State has a total of 38,172 active cases and it has also seen recoveries of 1,73,571 cases.
The state claims to have done a total of 31.59 lakh sample testing till now.
